St Lawrence College Cricket Week 2025

Upper Sixth Leavers

Firstly a huge thank you to our U6th leavers for the contribution to cricket at SLC, we are grateful for all that they have done and wish them all the best for their future endeavours. Below are short paragraphs on the four 2025 U6th leavers.

OLLY SKELTON

Olly started at St Lawrence College in 2018 and has played a significant role within all sports. In 2024 he was 1st XI Vice Cricket Captain and this year he finishes his time at SLC being 1st XI Captain. Olly is planning on doing a gap year to gain some money and work experience. He is looking at pathways in the golf or PT industry. Along with cricket, Olly’s other passion is golf where where he is a member of North Foreland Golf Club where he and his dad regularly play. There is little doubt that he will continue playing cricket beyond school and we hope that he will return to St Lawrence College next year to represent the Old Lawrentians XI as our opening cricket match of Cricket Week. During Olly’s time at SLC he played three years of 1st XI cricket. He also played Senior hockey, Senior golf and rugby during his time at the school. As suggested above, he has offered a lot to the school in a sporting context. Olly was also fortunate enough to have a 6 week cricket exchange in South Africa during his L6th year where he learnt a lot whilst there.

We would like to thank Olly for all that he has done at St Lawrence College and wish him all the best for the future.

We would also like to say a huge thanks to Mr & Mrs Skelton for their continued support of St Lawrence College and for their generosity over the years.
