Cricket at St Lawrence
Through a thorough winter training programme we have continued to have success with many pupils representing District and Kent County Cricket Club Youth along with Sophie Callow who gained her International Cap playing for Hong Kong U19's last summer.
We have had many Kent Cricket Academy Scholars in the last few years which is testimony to the programme that we have in place and I am delighted that our cricket programme is renowned to allow all pupils to flourish.
We always cater for all individuals whether it’s their first experience playing cricket or if they are an established 2nd Class County cricketer and above.
We continue to provide all pupils with a great platform to build upon and it’s an exciting time to be involved in cricket at the school As parents would be aware, there will be changes made to the current school timetable at SLC. From September 2025, we will be having Saturday morning sport/fixtures and because of this, academic lessons on Saturdays have been moved midweek
However, this does not mean that we will be doing less sport and in this case, cricket. The Games Department are extremely keen on developing a well rounded cricket programme which will help our pupils reach their capabilities. More on this to come!
