COLUMBIA (SC) ALUMNI CHAPTER The Columbia (SC) Alumni Chapter participated in several local and national community initiatives. The chapter, along with the Kappa Silhouettes, Columbia Kappa Leaguers, KL parents, the Newberry Chapter, the Xi Pi, and the University of South Carolina Chapter, the Zeta Epsilon, came together for their annual Thanksgiving Food Drive for Families in Need event. (pictured below top) Each year, they assemble food and deliver a complete menu to families throughout Columbia and surrounding areas. This year, they presented a turkey dinner basket to over 60 families. The chapter also participated in the Annual Wreaths Across America 2023 at Ft. Jackson National Cemetery. (pictured below middle) Their MVAC Chairman, Brother Russel Feaster, coordinated the participation in the event, which “Remember fallen U.S. veterans; honor those who serve; and teach our children the value of freedom.” The chapter sponsored over one thousand dollars in wreaths. House Minority Leader Congressman Brother Hakeem Jefferies and Congressman James Clyburn spoke at Zion Baptist Church for the NAACP SC State Conference’s Martin Luther King, Jr. Statewide Prayer Service.
