SUCCESS STORY: “Kenzie’s academic growth has improved dramatically—particularly in math. She struggled with second-grade math, testing below grade level, and often felt discouraged. Her school did not offer math intervention until 4th and 5th grades. The Boys & Girls Clubs stepped in to fill that gap. With Club staff support and the fun, engaging computer programs, math has become less intimidating for Kenzie.” – Joselynn A., Parent

SUCCESS STORY: Coraline L. has been a member since she transitioned out of kindergarten, and her favorite part about coming to the Club has always been working on creative projects in our Art Center. Staff describe Coraline, now 10 years old, as an “extraordinary young artist whose work reflects natural talent and precision, offering a unique perspective that captivates and inspires others.” In 2025, Coraline earned the title of Seaside Artist of the Year at the Marti Mulford Youth Arts Exhibit, and her artwork was selected to be displayed in the Monterey County Museum of Art.

Coraline painted this beautiful piece during Black History Month, inspired by the bravery and story of Ruby Bridges.
