FROM GARY SASSER PG. 1 - for more than 6,000 hours of service in our Team Up Community Challenge. Those accomplishments make me prouder than ever to be part of our team. They show the type of people who wear the Averitt red, and they show how the sky is the limit when we’re working together toward the
same goal. I’m reminded of St. Jude founder Danny Thomas’ quote about the most meaningful way to make a difference: “I would rather have a million people give me one dollar than one give me a million.” And that’s exactly what you do through Averitt Cares for Kids. More than 95% of our associates are Averitt
Cares for Kids members, giving $1 a week to help those who need it most. Our Team Up Community Challenge also continues to grow, and it’s an outstanding way to make an impact. Whether it’s food and clothing drives, blood donations or community cleanups, you’re showing what it means to help our neighbors.
