PAST AND PRESENT TEAMMATES FOR A BRIGHT FUTURE Averitt Ambassadors Make A Difference Through Averitt Cares for Kids The Averitt Ambassador team is our growing group of retired teammates who remain connected to our unique culture of giving back. By doing so, this group has the opportunity Averitt Ambassador JOYCE MATTHEWS , who led our payroll department for many years before retiring in December of 2019, shares what that impact means to her personally. “I have always contributed to Averitt Cares for Kids and definitely wanted to continue to contribute after my retirement,” says Joyce. “I was fortunate enough to visit St. Jude hospital in Memphis and saw firsthand the incredible research and work they do to improve the lives of the children there.” Our team was honored to recently present our 2021 contribution of $1,050,001 to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. This major milestone was driven by both current and retired associates, which included our combined weekly $1 donations to Averitt Cares for Kids. This speaks volumes about our team’s culture, passion and commitment to give hope for the future. “Averitt should be commended for what they have done for this special cause,” says Joyce. “I feel privileged to participate in a program that makes to continue helping our whole teammake powerful annual contributions to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital through Averitt Cares for Kids.
