Venture Plank CASE STUDY
St Hilda’s Wharf
Designed by Interiors by Laila, this riverside apartment at St Hilda’s Wharf in Wapping, London, is a contemporary residential refurbishment overlooking the Thames. The project transforms a dated 1990s interior into a calm, confident home, with Arena Herringbone specified throughout, playing a central role in shaping the apartment’s overall look and feel. HW3003-16 Arena Herringbone was specified throughout the apartment, establishing continuity across the hallway, open-plan living, and bedrooms. Chosen for its balanced mid-tone from the Brunette colour group, it introduces warmth and texture, softening the building’s strong architectural lines while maintaining a crisp, modern aesthetic. Natural light from Thames-facing windows interacts dynamically with the timber flooring, shifting in tone throughout the day to enrich the interior experience. The flooring plays a central role in the design, allowing furniture and artwork to sit comfortably within a calm, confident space.
