2021 TRAVEL PLUS “2021 AMENITY INITIATIVES” COMPETITION BEST OF ONBOARD SUSTAINABILITY AWARD Efforts related to biodegradable packaging and eco-friendly toys were awarded “Gold” status in the “Sustainable Packaging Initiative” and “Children Wellness Initiative” categories of the Travel Plus Amenities Initiatives 2021 competition. Turkish Airlines’ eco-friendly packaging won the “Best of Onboard Sustainability” award at the Onboard Hospitality 2021 awards.
LACP SPOTLIGHT AWARDS GLOBAL COMMUNICATIONS COMPETITION GOLD AWARD In 2022, as a result of an evaluation conducted by LACP, the Turkish Airlines’ Sustainability Report 2021 was deemed worthy of the Gold Award.
2021-2023 ECOVADIS After receiving a Bronze Award from Ecovadis in 2021, Turkish Airlines won a Silver Award in 2023 in recognition of its exceptional sustainability performance in 2022.
2022 CAPA (CENTER FOR AVIATION) AIRLINE SUSTAINABILITY INNOVATION OF THE YEAR Turkish Airlines was named “Airline Sustainability Innovation of the Year” by CAPA (Centre for Aviation) for its R&D support to the Microalgae-Based Sustainable Bio-Jet Fuel Project, an effort carried out closely with scientists.
LACP SPOTLIGHT AWARDS GLOBAL COMMUNICATIONS COMPETITION GOLD AWARD At the LACP Spotlight Awards-Global Communication Competition 2021, one of the world’s most distinguished global communication competitions with more than 500 corporate participants worldwide, the Turkish Airlines Sustainability Report 2020 competed in two separate categories. The report received 98 points out of 100 in total from the jury in the criteria of First Impression, Narrative, Visual Design, Creativity, Clarity of Message, and Relevance. The Turkish Airlines Sustainability Report 2020 won the Gold Award in the Sustainability Report and Corporate Social Responsibility Report categories.
WORLD FINANCE 2022, 2023 SUSTAINABILITY AWARD MOST SUSTAINABLE FLAG CARRIER AIRLINE Turkish Airlines received the 2022 and 2023 Sustainability Award as “Most Sustainable Company in the Flag Barrier Airline Industry” category by World Finance, one of the most respected organizations in international finance.
