Air Albania was established on September 12, 2018 with 49% held by Turkish Airlines, 41% held by MDN Investment SHPK, and 10% held by Albcontrol, which manages Albanian airspace and traffic on behalf of the Albanian government. Air Albania operates in passenger and cargo transport. As of September 2019, Air Albania commenced daily flights to Rome, Milan, and Bologna from Tirana. As of 2023, the airline operates flights to Istanbul, Milan, Bologna, Pisa, and Verona, departing from and arriving to Tirana.
We World Express is a Hong Kong- based joint venture company, in which Turkish Airlines International Investment and Transport Inc. holds a 45% stake, Hong Kong-based ZTO Express Limited holds a 45% stake, and Hong Kong- based PAL Air Limited holds a 10% stake. The company was established in January 2019 as a 100% affiliate of Turkish Airlines to become a global cargo/courier company providing door- to-door logistics services with a focus on the global e-commerce market. We World Express commenced operations in April 2019. By the end of 2023, the company reached a total of five offices in Istanbul, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Maastricht, and Shenzhen, and became one of the major players in the cross- border e-commerce market from China to Türkiye.
