On September 18, Turkish Opet was established as a 50:50 joint venture between Turkish Airlines and OPET Oil Trade Inc. mobil.thy.com, Türkiye’s first airline mobile application was launched. Despite the global crisis, the company achieved the highest growth among member airlines of the Association of European Airlines. Turkish Airlines was named the “Best Airline in Southern Europe” by Skytrax. Turkish Airlines received the Aircraft Finance Journal’s “European Deal of the Year” award.
Collaboration with Oscar- winning actor Kevin Costner for global brand communication started.
