2011

In 2011, Turkish Airlines was named “Europe’s Best Airline” by Skytrax.

The International CIP Lounge at Atatürk Airport was renovated.

Live television and wireless internet services were offered to passengers for use during flight. On May 13, TCI - Cabin Interior was established with a 30% stake held by Turkish Airlines, 21% by Turkish Technic Inc., and 49% by Turkish Aerospace Industries Inc. On June 2, TSI Aviation Seats was established with a 45% interest held by Turkish Airlines, 5% by Turkish Technic Inc., and 50% by Assan Hanil Group.

Lionel Messi was signed for global brand communication.

The website was launched to visitors with a new design.

2012

Turkish Airlines became the airline flying to the most countries in the world. On June 21, Turkish Airlines Aydın Çıldır Airport Operation Inc. was established as a 100% subsidiary.

The flight network expanded to 200 destinations.

The 200 th aircraft joined the fleet on November 13, 2012.

Thirty-four new routes were launched, the most route launches in a single year.
