On July 12, new generation A320/321 NEO started to be delivered to the narrow-body fleet followed by B737 MAX 8/9 aircraft on August 17.

The 750 millionth passenger was carried.

Turkish Airlines Lounge Istanbul won the “Best Business Class CIP Lounge” award for the second consecutive year in the world rankings. Turkish Airlines also won the “Best Business Class CIP Lounge Catering” award for the fifth time in a row. On October 17, a joint venture company, Cornea, was established between Turkish Technic Inc. and Havelsan to operate in-flight entertainment systems and internet service.

Sixty A350-900 and B787-9 aircraft were ordered, the largest wide-body aircraft order in the history of the company.

A new visual identity was designed with the concept of “Flow.”

After the relocation to Istanbul Airport, Turkish Airlines underwent a renewal process, including a change in its logo and overall corporate identity. As part of this effort, cabin uniforms were also changed.

Istanbul Airport was opened on October 29, 2018.
