In 2003, the Turkish Airlines fleet consisted of 65 aircraft. Over the last 20 years, the fleet has expanded 6.8 times with orders for 424 aircraft, including 126 wide-body aircraft, 281 narrow- body aircraft, and 17 freighters. As a result, Turkish Airlines is one of the largest and most competitive airlines in the world today.
