With air cargo transportation gaining importance globally, the A330-200F freighter, which started operations in 2010, made a significant contribution to the expansion of the Turkish Airlines freighter network. Additionally, growth of the cargo fleet was maintained with the B777F freighter featuring high payload capacity, which joined the fleet in 2017. Turkish Airlines plans to expand its fleet to 435 aircraft by year-end 2023.

In 2018, the largest wide-body aircraft order in the history of the Incorporation was placed for 60 aircraft. In 2019 and 2020, the new generation wide-body aircraft B787 and A350 aircraft joined the Turkish Airlines fleet, thus increasing the wide-body passenger fleet family in the fleet to four types. The 100 th aircraft joined the Turkish Airlines fleet in 2006, the 200 th in 2012, the 300 th in 2016, and the 400 th in 2023.
