The year 2016 saw Turkish Airlines once again break new ground and make a name for itself around the world. Turkish Airlines became the “Official Airline Partner” of UEFA EURO 2016, the European Football Championship played in France in the summer, marking a first in the 58-year history of the championship. In 2022, Turkish Airlines signed a new and resounding cooperation with UEFA to sponsor the UEFA Champions League with the season’s final to take place in Istanbul. As the first airline in the world to sponsor the UEFA Champions League, Turkish Airlines once again made history with the tournament reaching approximately 700 million people in 200 countries. As a brand that draws its strength from the deep roots of its home country and spreads its wings to the world, Turkish Airlines has also signed important collaborations in the field of basketball. In 2010, a sponsorship agreement was signed with EuroLeague Basketball,

now known as Turkish Airlines EuroLeague, Europe’s largest basketball organization.
