Turkish Airlines launched “Flying Chef,” a new service where guests traveling in Business Class will have their meals prepared by the chefs on board. This innovative service was provided for the first time in April 2010 on a flight to New York. In 2013, Turkish Airlines introduced a new catering flight concept. All tools and equipment were replaced with lightweight materials with superior design features to reduce the total weight of catering materials. With this effort, the company also reduced its carbon emissions.
