Wow! What a time to be in the cattle business! Without question these are unprecedented times with record prices across the board for feeders, stockers, fats, cull cows and bulls, and replacement heifers. With cattle numbers at their lowest levels since 1951, we are certainly in a new era in the cattle business. If you have the feed and handling facilities to raise cattle, now is the time to be aggressive and establish the highest quality cow herd that you can. Cull the cattle that aren’t top producers and replace them with high-quality genetics. Red Angus females offer quiet dispositions, high milk and maternal traits with desirable carcass and marbling traits in their prog- eny. The five Red Angus breeders in the Big Sky Elite represent not only great cattle operations but leaders in the industry as well. Every operation has had either a past RAAA president or board member including newly elected Area 2 Montana RAAA Board of Director member – Craig DeBoer in 2025. The quality of Red Angus females in the Big Sky Elite Female auction are second-to-none and most represent several generations of A.I. or E.T. work.
