THE BEGINNING CSS Farms was founded in 1986 when the Carter and Spevak families joined together to grow their first field of potatoes.

SPECIALTY POT Tasteful Selections partnership with and Plover River F becomes a market le in the specialty p category.

FIRST LEAP CSS Farms’ first venture out of South Dakota was expansion in Nebraska to better serve chip customers. The company teamed up with Bob Bender to further expand its presence.

CONTINUED EXPANSION CSS Farms expands by adding farms in Texas Lodi, CA and NY seed.

IDAHO SEED FARM Increasing our seed production in the heart of potato country.

EXPANDING TO PNW We began our operations n chip processing and eed potatoes around the Tri-City area.

CSS Farms now operates 17 farms in 10 states providing seed, chip, and specialty potatoes to our customers. FOCUSED ON VISION

GROWTH TO NY CSS Farms starts to grow regionally in our chipping processors in the East.

The farm is where the magic happens. Without the farms we wouldn’t be able to do what we need to do day in and day out! The farms will be working directly with you on your development and assignments. By the end of your internship you will have a great understanding of what we mean when we say we value the farming lifestyle!

Shared services is made up of our executive leadership team, Accounting, Sales, Logistics, Marketing, Finance, IT, and Human Resources. Shared Services exists to provide support to our farms across the country, and also to you throughout the duration of your internship. If you have a question, we’re here to help!

PRESENTATION Each intern will choose a project in an area of interest and provide a presentation to the leadership team. You will need to work with your designated mentor and the farm manager to decide the project scope and duration. The presentation provides a sense of purpose to your internship. We want you to learn and grow from your experience with CSS Farms, and we know you have valuable perspective and contributions to share with us in return! We’re eager to hear how CSS Farms can continuously improve based on your ideas and experiences.

SCHOLARSHIP By completing your internship and presentation to the leadership team you may qualify for a scholarship, up to $2,500 to be awarded directly to your school to help in furthering your education.
