PROJECT

GRANDOPERAHOUSE, BELFAST

AV SOLUTIONS FROM MGA COMMUNICATION TAKE CENTRE STAGE AT GRAND OPERA HOUSE… AVSOLUTIONS

M GA Communication provided a host of AV technology systems for the intricate Grand Opera House renovation project in Belfast. Included in the package were: CCTV system, IP infrastructure, large format LED video walls with integrated digital signage, show relay system and disabled assistance systems including refuge alarm. As this was a listed building, all works had to be fully integrated into and sympathetic to the historical building, which added to the challenge. The Ballynahinch-based company has been at the forefront of AV technologies since its formation in 1994. They are the choice of many Irish and UK electrical contractors when it comes to providing high-end integrated solutions. Specialising in working to tight deadlines and budgets, MGA Communication

provides a quality installation and after sales service. Commenting on the completed job, Aaron McKeown, Managing Director, said, “It’s always nice to be involved in such a prestigious project, and the restoration of the Grand Opera House is certainly that. “The large format displays are there for all to see and it gives me a sense of pride when I drive along the front and the large display is advertising all the upcoming shows.” Aaron McKeown was full of praise for the collaboration with electrical contractor William Coates Ltd. “As this was a listed building, all works had to be fully integrated into and sympathetic to the historical building.”
