EM: How did you gain experience in EV? NH: Pretty straightforward - at Harper’s our management all drive Electric Vehicles. This let us tick a box as early adopters from an environmental stance, whilst importantly gaining experience first hand as users. Understanding our products has always given staff at Harpers an edge. Most of our team have come off the tools in one form or other, so our technical advice is right up there with the best. EM: The EV charger market is pretty crowded right now – what sets Harper’s apart? NH: Product knowledge. Selling a charge point is a part number to many, just another commodity and there are already many types with different flavours to choose from. The trick is understanding and advising what’s best for the client. If you get this right,
you maximise your EV energy savings versus fossil fuel. Your time, available charging period / tariff and capacity of delivery are important factors in maximising the convenience and the economy of driving electric vehicles. Having the right charging options available at a premises will make for a happy customer.
