In the decades since it was founded, Glasgiven Contracts has developed and expanded in markets such as health, education, commercial, residential, sport and leisure, ecclesiastical, arts, culture and tourism. As main contractor for Cherrywood Educate Together National School, Glasgiven Contracts was recognised with Education Project of the Year at the Irish Construction Industry Awards 2024. The €13.55m design-and-build project comprised 24 classrooms, two SEN units, ancillary pupil and staff facilities and large hall with a total floor area of 4,510sqm. Current live projects include St Ronan’s College, Lurgan, a £58m design-and-build contract. The 21,000sqm school includes a wide range of departmental teaching facilities, assembly and sports halls and pitches. Shimna Integrated College, Newcastle, a £23m design-and-build project, involves construction of a new post-primary school in two phases. The two- and three-storey buildings will incorporate 43 classrooms, labs, study spaces, a library, multi-purpose hall, canteen, fitness suite, reception and administration offices. Phase two will feature a new sports hall, changing rooms and tennis courts. A proud member of the CEF since 1986, the business is thankful for the role the Federation plays within the industry and its responses to key industry issues.
