quality construction projects for a wide range of public and private clients throughout the UK and Ireland, the company has extensive experience in housing, industrial, education, health, historical buildings and community sectors, successfully completing schemes ranging from £50,000 to £15m. Based in Downpatrick, Co Down, the company’s premises include spacious offices, stores and a joinery workshop with an extensive fleet of plant and equipment. The four directors specialise in contract management, surveying and finance and, with over 80 years’ experience in the industry, all maintain a ‘hands-on’ approach to the day-to-day running of the company. Hugh J O’Boyle Ltd believes the quality and success of a company rests with its people and has a very loyal and experienced team with the appropriate training and skills to successfully deliver high-quality projects. Over the years, Hugh J. O’Boyle Ltd has achieved many awards including the CEF Excellence Award 2022 for Health Project of the Year, recognising its refurbishment of the Macmillan Cancer Unit at Ulster Hospital, and was a finalist in CEF’s 2022 and 2024 awards for its construction of Copelands Care Home and Castlebawn Care Home, respectively. The company has also been a finalist in various RICS Awards categories with Montalto Estate Visitor Centre, the Mew Optic relocation project and the Halo Dome at Galgorm Resort.
