PROKICK, BELFAST WRC completes high-end commercial redevelopment contracts throughout Northern Ireland, with recent projects including Prokick in Belfast in partnership with Belfast City Council. Created by kickboxing pioneer Billy Murray in East Belfast in 1991, Prokick contracted WRC to construct a new state-of- the-art gym at Laburnum Street in east Belfast. Working alongside the design team, WRC delivered a significant upgrade to Prokick’s previous ‘tin hut’, with a stylish new space offering the capacity to train all levels from beginner kids to black belts. The new gym at Laburnum Street will allow the work of ProKick to develop significantly and impact more people in the community.

ANTRIM FORUM LEISURE CENTRE WRC was appointed as main contractor for a recent refurbishment of fitness suites at the Antrim Forum, a project funded by Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council. Phase one of the contract involved refurbishment of the existing gym and WCs, and provision of a new roof covering for the forum building. A new dance and spin studio was also created, featuring a range of products from Ecophon to achieve optimal acoustics in the space. A second phase of the project entailed refurbishment of the village changing area and existing pool including installation of resin flooring and a ceiling upgrade.
