Through theater games and exercises, they’ll heighten their listening skills, create big characters, and wow their audience with a final performance. Improv Unlimited $320 W3: June 23-June 27 Entering Grades: 6 7 8 W7: July 21-July 25 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Instructor: What If Theatre The stage is your child’s canvas in this improv comedy camp. Improv is more than jokes—it’s about acting and creating as a team. Campers will learn to create rich environments, characters, and relationships, using only their imaginations—and whole stories with the help of their teammates! This camp culminates in a final performance. Jewelry Box $335 W7: July 21-July 25 Entering Grades: 3 4 5 Instructor: Jenny Werner Focus on the tools and techniques you need to make jewelry, including beading using stone beads, making beads using Fimo clay, and glass fusion to create beautiful pendants and earrings. Instructor: Sticky Fingers Cooking Come explore the bounty of summer-fresh, local, colorful ingredients and explore how those foods get from the ground to our plates. You might already know that carrots can improve your eyesight, but did you know that cherries can help improve your memory? Young chefs will also learn what makes certain ingredients so super for the body and how delicious they can taste, while practicing basic cooking skills and techniques on their way to becoming super chefs! Global Dance Expedition $430 W2: June 16-June 20 Entering Grades: 6 7 8 9 9:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Instructor: Elisa Stolar Explore the world through dance, crafts, movie clips, and food at our Global Culture Summer Camp! Each day, we’ll travel to a new destination: samba and Carnival in Brazil, Nollywood and West African dance, Bollywood movie clips and dance, belly dancing in the Middle East, and line dancing, step, or hip hop in the US. Get ready for a fun, immersive experience that celebrates global traditions while sparking creativity and cultural appreciation! In this delicious camp, young chefs will cook recipes from countries all around the world and explore food history, customs, geography, and languages associated with each recipe. Young chefs will cook and gobble up tasty, healthy cuisine from 10 different countries! Groovy Glass $335 W7: July 21-July 25 Entering Grades: 5 6 7 8 9 Instructor: Jenny Werner Students will be guided in 3 different glass art forms: stained glass, glass fusing, and glass mosaics. Artists will learn the tools and techniques for glass cutting and soldering. Returning glass artists will be challenged with new ideas and techniques. Hip Hop $520 W6: July 14-July 18 Entering Grades: 3 4 5 12:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. Instructor: Colorado Ballet 12:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. W8: July 28-August 1 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Entering Grades: 5 6 7 8 9 Get ready to groove at Hip Hop camp, where energy and expression take center stage! Campers will learn the fundamentals of hip hop dance, explore fun choreography, and build confidence through movement. Instructor: Sticky Fingers Cooking In this hands-on camp, young chefs will work together in cooking challenges inspired by favorite cooking TV shows such as Street Food, Nailed It!, and more! We will learn how to use different cooking equipment and techniques, explore flavor pairings, and create tasty mouthwatering recipes from scratch each day. Young chefs will get their creative juices flowing in this awesomely fun and exciting cooking adventure! Mixed Media Madness $330 W7: July 21-July 25 Entering Grades: 6 7 8 12:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. Instructor: Createry Workshop Mixed Media Madness is a mix of materials to make your masterpiece magnificent! We will create art, journals, and more, while using magazine clippings, paper, paint, stamps, and more! In this class we will discover techniques, tricks, and practice our skills of layering and abstract art. Each day will be a new creation, and you will design and create your own masterpiece! Join Moana on the island of Montunui as she sets out on a quest to save her island, follow her heart, and discover who she truly is. Along the way, she gets to know a conceited yet hilarious demigod named Maui, a fashionable crab, and a hare-brained rooster in addition to other colorful characters. Her wise grandmother, whose spirit is closely tied to the ocean, helps Moana discover her voice and her core on this fantastic journey.
