Detective Science $305 W2: June 16-June 20 Entering Grades: 3 4 5 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Instructor: Sue Counterman Come join us for a week-long mystery extravaganza during which student detectives conduct hands-on forensic science tests on evidence found at the crime scene. Students perform tests on clues in the forensic laboratory, including thread comparison tests, chromatography, pH tests and powder tests. Students will practice the skills of observation, experimentation, gathering and analyzing evidence to solve the mystery. Discover the Magic of Rainbows and Colors $375 W7: July 21-July 25 Entering Grades: K 1 2 3 Instructor: KGS Education Discover the Magic of Rainbows and Colors Summer Camp hosted by KGS Education Services! This engaging adventure filled with fun, learning, and creativity. Your child will explore the science of rainbows through hands-on activities, exciting experiments, and outdoor adventures. They’ll learn about color mixing, the principles of light, and the magic of rainbows while engaging in creative arts and crafts. Drone Camp $375 W2: June 16-June 20 Entering Grades: 2 3 4 5 12:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. Instructor: Wize Academy Get out of the chair and into the air! Learn drone piloting, maintenance, racing, coding, delivery, search and rescue, mapping, autonomous flight, photography and visual arts. Complete drone challenges, including photography, package delivery and obstacle courses, plus learn present-day and future applications of this fast-growing tech industry. Edison Robotics: Unleash Your Inner Engineer $440 Instructor: Silicon Stem Dive into robotics by building and programming your own Edison Robot! Campers will learn coding, problem-solving, and engineering as they tackle fun challenges like line-following and task completion. The week ends with an exciting robot battle ring! Perfect for aspiring engineers, it’s a fun introduction to robotics. Us, too! In this camp, makers will create detailed fairy and gnome habitats using natural materials from our cabin in the woods. Makers will learn to needle felt, create miniatures, and stitch toadstool stuffies. We’ll even craft woodland creature costumes like fairies, gnomes, foxes, or deer for even more imaginative play! City of the Future $635 W3: June 23-June 27 Entering Grades: 4 5 6 9:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Instructor: Kathleen Kirkman Design a city that could exist 100 years in the future! Take a tour of downtown Denver with a professional city planner, design the systems that make your city run, plus build a scale model of your city from recycled materials and take it home at the end of the week.
