Beginning Horsemanship
Lakewood offering driver education approved by the State of Colorado. The programs are focused on giving teens the education they need to develop the skills and confidence for a lifetime of safe driving. The driver education program includes everything your teen needs to get their driving permit, including a 30-hour class (required by the State of Colorado), written permit test, and behind-the-wheel lessons (completed over the year that the student holds their permit). Eco-Leaders Camp $675 W6: July 14-July 18 Entering Grades: 6 7 8 9 9:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Instructor: Denver Audubon Are you ready to make a meaningful impact? Make new friends, develop leadership skills, and have fun while giving back to the community. We’ll kick off the week with team-building challenges at a high ropes course to discover our leadership styles. Then, we’ll put our leadership strengths to work by planning and executing service projects in our community nature centers, gardens, and conservation areas. We’ll wrap up the week with a trip to Water World to celebrate our achievements! Escape using teamwork and clues. Create an escape room using cause-and-effect contraptions for others. This is for beginners who have only completed 2-3 escape rooms. We’ll investigate a variety of animals from head to toe and inside out. Examine bones, fur, feathers, claws, teeth, scales, and skeletons to discover incredible animal adaptations. Visit the Denver Zoo Conservation Alliance, Butterfly Pavilion, and Denver Audubon Kingery Nature Center, where you’ll meet live animals and get an up-close look at how these

Instructor: Stockton’s Stables Beginning riders will head out to Stockton’s Plum Creek stables for five days of hands-on horsemanship and riding. Emphasis on communication, grooming, and handling skills with daily demonstrations and equestrian lessons. Campers learn about bareback riding, saddling, and the introduction of rein use. After introducing campers to the language of film (shot types, camera movement, editing, etc.), we’ll visit local cinemas to watch both classic and contemporary films.
