CREATING EMPLOYABLE AND ENTREPRENEURIAL GRADUATES Employers are looking for much more than a degree when choosing graduates to employ. Gaining experience and developing skills whilst at university will give you a competitive edge. Our award-winning team, the Swansea Employability Academy can help you: • Gain impartial careers information, advice and guidance from qualified careers consultants. • Find an internship, placement, part-time job, graduate job or volunteering role. • Connect you to employers through our careers fairs, employer events and skills training/coaching sessions. • Develop your CV, interview skills and commercial/self awareness. • Connect you with an alumni mentor.

YEAR IN INDUSTRY Propel your career with a year in industry as part of your degree. Many of our degree programmes include the option to work a year in industry as part of the course, providing valuable experience and the opportunity to put theory into practice whilst being paid. This puts you ahead of the game when embarking on your career and looks fantastic on your CV. For full details of programmes offering a year in industry please check individual course pages: swansea.ac.uk/ undergraduate/courses EMPLOYMENT ZONE DIGITAL JOBS BOARD Through the Swansea Paid Internship Network we connect employers with students and recent graduates from all disciplines for four-week graduate level internships. All roles are advertised via our digital Employment Zone jobs board and our dedicated team are here to support you throughout the internship process. Internships can run throughout the year across a huge range of subject areas.

We also run the Santander Universities Internships Programme providing students and recent graduates with paid work experience within local SMEs and third sector organisations. DEDICATED SUPPORT • Gain recognition in your Higher Education Achievement Report on completion of the Career Development Course. •Employability bursaries can help cover employability related costs such as travel to job interviews, equipment for remote working, business attire and similar. • On-campus and remote, paid, part-time work through the Student Ambassador Scheme. • Santander Training Bursaries – apply for up to £500 to cover the cost of employability-related training. • For students facing barriers to work, a work experience programmme available through the Go Wales programme:
