REPAYMENT Loans are payable when you have finished your studies and are earning above the agreed threshold amounts* (you do not need to pay back grants and bursaries). For Wales, England and EU the threshold amount is currently set at £27,295; for Northern Ireland £19,895; and Scotland £25,000. The amount you pay will be at least 9% of the difference between the set threshold amount and what you earn. The table below illustrates example repayment amounts for a Welsh/English/EU student.
