The official launch was made during ICE Europe and has reportedly seen a wide range of suppliers already select booth space. Equipment suppliers covering tech- nologies from slitter winders and rewinding machinery to specific machine part cleaning units are already rep- resented on the ICE South East Asia floor plan. The show has support from the Association of In- ternational Metallizers, Coaters and Laminators (AIM- CAL), which includes a planned group of AIMCAL members showcasing their expertise. Local support for the exhibition from associations includes the Thai Pulp and Paper Industries Associa- tion and the Thai Screen and Graphic Print Associa- tion. The region has a consuming population of 620 million; over half are classified as middle class. This young and affluent demographic is driving consump- tion rates and enforcing an incredible stress on the supply industries of heavy converted material users, like food and beverage, electronics, packaging, print- ing and cosmetics.
