Changes
Simplified structure:
Combined ART and standalone Single Rescuer modules removed; four clear modules: ART
-H,
ART-N, ART -HR and ART -NR.
Aligned durations:
Initial modules now ~12 h (≈1½ days) each; refreshers 7.5 h (1 day) each, giving a 3
-day initial + 2 -
day refresher package.
Single Rescuer embedded: separate SART courses.
≥90 min single -rescuer application lesson in each module (initial + refresher) instead of
WAH / MH decoupled:
ART no longer recertifies BST Working at Heights or Manual Handling; focus is on advanced
rescue only.
Technical clean -up: All tensioned line / zip -line / tramway examples removed; horizontal movement now taught as cross hauling / controlled horizontal transfer within IFUs.
Patient handling clarified:
Strengthened guidance on cervical collars and transfer boards (airway support only;
boards not used as vertical lifting devices).
Language & layout refreshed: current GWO standard template.
