Community Happenings Summer
Three Christmas Parties! Yes, you read that right. Three! Each one brought families and loved ones through our doors and filled the home with the kind of warmth and joy that only Christmas can bring. Santa made his rounds, the raffle was drawn, a delicious Christmas lunch was shared, and the smiles in the room said everything. A very merry time indeed. Carols, Concerts, and Christmas Cheer The Burpengary Seventh-day Adventist group came to sing for us and truly brightened our day with their beautiful carols. Rob Stevenson visited us twice throughout December, filling the home with music, warmth, and festivity. There is something about live music at Christmas that just gets into your bones in the best possible way.
Kindy Kids and Christmas Creativity The kindy children joined us for arts and crafts during December and the energy and joy they brought with them was something else entirely. Drawing, creating, laughing, and connecting across the generations, it was one of those visits that stays with you long after the children have gone home. Christmas Lights Hunting We headed out one evening on a Christmas lights hunt and what a night it was. Driving through streets of glittering displays, everyone taking in the colour and creativity, and the delightful surprise of bumping into some of our own staff out enjoying the lights too. A truly memorable evening. Harvesting from Our Potato Tower
With a little teamwork and a lot of satisfaction, we harvested potatoes from our very own specially designed potato tower. Getting out into the garden, working together, and seeing the results of something we had grown ourselves was a genuinely rewarding experience and one we were all very proud of.
