A lump-sum benefit is also payable for childhood conditions such as cerebral palsy, cystic fibrosis, muscular dystrophy, and poliomyelitis. The plan pays a par tial benefit for conditions such as skin cancer, carcinoma in situ, coronary ar tery disease, advanced alzheimer 's disease, ALS, parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis and coma. Additional benefits include a lump sum payment for an ICU stay of more than one day and a wellness benefit for completion of a routine and preventive health exam (whether vir tual or in-person), health screening test, cer tain blood tests and even COVID-19 immunization.
