The Lakes South Morang College - Issue 12

STUDENT PERSPECTIVE

PRIMARY REFLECTION PHOENIX & ASHA YEAR 5 SRC

Woohoo we ’ re halfway through the school year! How exciting! We ’ ve had a great start to the term. We ’ ve bought bean bags for the classrooms which students can use as a reward or spend time on them using their dojo points. The Primary Campus have been very busy with production rehearsals for our “ Bring It On ” production which we are a bit nervous about but also excited about! This term the SRC students will also be organising a footy colours day, so we ’ re excited to see what everyone dresses up in.

SECONDARY REFLECTION TORI & CARMEL YEAR 8 SRC

We are Tori and Carmel, your 2023 Year 8 SRC Representatives.

We are here to tell you about what the Year 8 Cohort have been up to and what we are looking forward to for the rest of the term.

The Year 8’ s have spent the first few weeks of this term settling in to their new timetable and new lifestyles classes. Many of us have also been busy attending Production Rehearsals after school. While there hasn ’ t been anything too exciting to report on so far, we are all really looking forward to some events coming up this term. We are all looking forward to our Production of ‘ Bring It On ’ taking place this Tuesday and Wednesday at Plenty Ranges Convention Centre. The last few days have been really exciting as students from across the Primary and Secondary Campus completed final rehearsals and finished up the last few props.

We are also looking forward to attending the World Skills Expo later in August to see what career and training opportunities are out there for us when we finish school.
