4.0 Coastal Association Advocacy in Action: Protecting and Promoting Our Industry Vigorous advocacy and political action are fundamental to the mission of the Coastal Association of REALTORS®. We are dedicated to protecting private property rights, promoting homeownership, and ensuring that the voice of our members and their clients is heard by lawmakers. This year, our collective efforts yielded significant achievements. Prestigious Triple Crown Award We are thrilled to announce that the Coastal Association of REALTORS® earned the prestigious Triple Crown Award from the National Association of REALTORS®. This honor recognizes our success in meeting and exceeding our REALTORS® Political Action Committee (RPAC) fundraising and participation goals. This achievement was made possible by the incredible commitment of our members. 2025 Coastal Association RPAC Highlights: • Total Contributions: $36,960 • Participating Members: 351 (a 37.17% participation rate) • Major Investors: 22 including 3 NEW Presidents Circle Members Monitoring Key Regional Issues Beyond our legislative agenda, the association remained vigilant in monitoring regional developments. We actively tracked the effects of the Federal Government shutdown on real estate services and kept members informed of the OC R1 & MH Ordinances, Referendum and Moratorium updates to advise their OC clients in those areas of the city. Advised of lawsuit Coastal joined with other area organizations coordinated by the Town of Ocean City, delays affecting Offshore Wind projects and how to donate to the cause if interested. Coastal continues monitoring ongoing septic issues on the Eastern Shore ensuring our members were prepared for potential market impacts. Our commitment to protecting the real estate industry is intrinsically linked to our dedication to strengthening the communities we serve.
