CAMAS MILL DISTRICT PLAN

Discussion Draft

January 6, 2026

The Riverkeeper’s comments demonstrates this potential remains unknown. Thanks 33 to the Riverkeeper’s persistence the mixing zone study will be updated. These changed circumstances shows first light on the mill property as a potential source, among other potential sites, of PFAS contamination. This is within the requirement that Camas be “required to review, evaluate, and, if necessary, revise their critical areas ordinances” Review of Our Camas 2045 shows this groundwater issue is NOT noted and evaluated. By excluding mill property from use other than industrial, it continues to obscure this potential contamination, and potential liability from GP instead of ratepayers. Current and ongoing taxpayer money continues to add to Camas’ affordability crisis. Our Camas 2045 may require across the board future rate increases as it continues to promote low- revenue land use design and excludes mill property for future use. This only compounds growing affordability issues.
