I belie- ve Santorini will become one of your favourite desti- nations, whether you’re seeking a romantic getaway or inspiration in its natural beauty. More new destina- tions will be made available over the coming mont- hs, allowing you to reach them quickly and easily, di- rectly from Belgrade. With new destinations, digital innovations, and continuous investments in the quality of our services, we continue to build and enhance the travel experien- ce. Thank you for your trust and for choosing to be part of our story. Together, we discover new horizons and create lasting memories.

dati bez zastajanja. Island that awakens before the season
April is the month when Santorini starts to come back to life. The days are lengthening and the sea is slowly warming up, while the island still be - longs to those wanting to experience it without the summer crowds. Of course, there’s a good reason why Santorini is one of the Medi - terranean’s most photographed spots, but it’s only with the arrival of
spring that it becomes clear that its appeal extends beyond pictu- re postcard images. It is then that the whitewas - hed houses of places li- ke Oia and Fira seem to stand out even more against the clear skies, while its narrow streets are tranquil enough that you can walk them wit - hout having to stop.
April and early May also represent the ideal time to walk the cliff trail between Fira and Oia, marking a ro - ute covering a distance of about ten kilometres along the edge of the ca- ldera – a huge volcanic crater that was created by one of the largest eruptions in the history of the Me- diterranean. This hiking trail offers views of the dark blue sea and small volcanic islands in the middle of the bay, including the island of Nea Ka- meni. Santorini is also an important wi - nemaking island. Grapevines grow here in unusually low basket-like formations that are adapted as su-
ch to protect the plant from strong winds. The most famous variety is Assyrtiko, a mineral-driven and fre- sh wine that is the perfect accom - paniment to fish and seafood. It is during springtime that many of the island’s small wineries reopen their doors for tastings. Despite Santorini often being synonymous with romantic sun - sets, April reveals its more serene side. It is possible during this mon- th to sit on a terrace overlooking the sea, watching as the light chan - ges by the hour and feeling like the island still belongs to those who discovered it at the right time.

City that never chills
Naples isn’t a city striving to be orderly or perfect. The sources of its energy are loud noise, rich history and cuisine that changed the world. Mopeds traverse the narrow streets of the old town as loud conversations unfold and la- undry hangs between balconies li - ke improvised flags of daily life. And yet, hidden behind that rhyt- hm is a city with a history that da - tes back more than two and a half thousand years. At the very heart of Naples is its historic core, which is under UNES - CO protection and boasts layers of architecture that alternate between the foundations of antiquity and ba- roque churches. Rising just a few ki - lometres away is the mighty volca - no of Vesuvius, which destroyed the ancient city of Pompeii in AD 79, le- aving behind what is today one of Europe’s most impressive archaeo- logical sites, which can be easily re - ached from Naples as a day trip de- stination. Views extend from the Port of Na - ples to the islands of the Bay of Naples – where you should explo - re the famous Capri, for example.
It naturally isn’t possible to even imagine Naples without pizza. It was here that the famous marg - herita pizza was created in the la - te 19 th century, as a simple com- bination of tomatoes, mozzarella and basil that

City at the crossroads of cultures
Tbilisi is a city that has changed over the centuries, while retaining its unique character. Its streets to- day represent a combination of European elegance and Cauca- sian tradition. The old part of Tbi- lisi is recognisable for the wooden balconies that hang over narrow streets. Houses here are often pa- inted in pastel tones, and intersper- sed between them are small chur - ches, courtyards and cafés. Rising above the city is the citadel of Nari- kala Fortress, which provides views over the meandering Mtkvari (Ku- ra) River. The city's name is derived from the Georgian word for warm, which is a direct reference to the natural sulp- huric hot springs of the Abanotu- bani district. The brick-domed bat- hs located here have been in use for centuries and are among the city’s oldest gathering places. This city is also known for its strong wine tradi - tion. Georgia is often described as one of the cradles of viticulture, wi - th a tradition of winemaking that da - tes back more than eight thousand years. Many wines are still fermen - ted in large clay vessels known as qvevri that are buried underground.
Gruzija se smatra kolevkom vinarstva sa tradicijom dugom 8.000 godina Georgia is considered the cradle of winemaking, with an 8,000-year tradition
The modern Tbilisi doesn’t shy away from its contrasts. Here modern bridges and galleries stand alongsi- de medieval churches, while restau - rants serve traditional dishes like khachapuri – bread filled with chee - se – and spicy stews. This combi - nation of the old and the new ma - kes Tbilisi one of those cities that aren’t revealed through its intere- sting sights, but through its unique atmosphere. It is enough to spend an afternoon wandering its streets to understand why visitors often stay longer than they’d planned.

Mediterranean charm focused on the future
Valencia combines two different images of Spain, as a historic Me- diterranean city and one of Euro- pe’s most modern urban centres. The old part of the city is protected by its narrow streets, squares and marketplaces where you can feel the rhythm of daily life. The central market, one of the largest on the continent, brings together traders offering fish, fruit and spices every morning, while restaurants prepare a famous dish that originated right here: paella. Just a few kilometres from the city, the landscape shifts abruptly. The futuristic complex known as the Ci - ty of Arts and Sciences, an archi-
tectural project of Spanish archite- ct Santiago Calatrava, was built in the former Turia riverbed. The com- plex features white structures that resemble ships or huge sculptures and that house museums, an aqua- rium and concert halls. April and May are ideal times to vi- sit Valencia, with pleasant tempera - tures and the city’s Malvarrosa Bea- ch still free of the summer crowds. Cycle lanes through the Turia Gar- den enable you to navigate the who - le city easily, with lots of greenery and places for respite. Valencia is often overshadowed by Barcelo - na and Madrid, but that’s precisely what gives it an advantage. It is lar -
ge enough to provide museums, ar- chitecture and gastronomy, and re- laxed enough to be explored at a leisurely pace. For travellers wan - ting to combine a city break and a seaside holiday, it would be tough to find a better compromise anywhe - re in Europe.

City of light on seven hills Portugal PORTUGAL
Lisbon is a city where time moves slower than elsewhere, and spring only serves to emphasise all its be- auty. Sprawling over seven hills abo - ve the estuary of the River Tagus, al- most every walk in this city includes some ascents. That’s also why Li - sbon is famous for its observation points, so-called miradouros, which are located on hilltops and provide views of endless red roofs and the ri - ver emptying into the Atlantic. The oldest part of the city is the Alfa- ma district. Its narrow streets, small houses and improvised restaurants make it one of the few parts of Li - sbon that survived the great ear- thquake of 1755. In the evening ho- urs, traditional Portuguese fado music can be heard emanating from taverns. One iconic symbol of the ci- ty is the Belém Tower, which was erected in the early 16 th century, at a time when Portuguese mariners were embarking on voyages of dis - covery to new continents. Located nearby is Jerónimos Monastery, re- presenting one of the most beautiful examples of Manueline architecture. An unforgettable atmosphere is cre- ated by the trams that climb its steep streets, the aroma of coffee and views of the river. Its appeal also lies in fine details – in the sound of tram rails, the colourful tiles of faça- des and the sense that new views will be revealed around every corner.

T he second meeting of internatio- nal participants (IPM 2), which was held in the Serbian capital from 10th to 12th March, clearly marked the EX- PO 2027 project’s transition from the planning phase to the phase of intensive implementation. Over the course of three days, Belgrade functioned as the opera- tional centre of one of the most ambitio- us international projects in this part of Eu- rope. This is confirmed unequivocally by the numbers: more than 600 meetin- gs with international participants, over 40 bilateral talks, seven multilateral meetin- gs and 69 parallel sessions. Alongside 24 press conferences and the presence of almost 60 newsrooms and up to 170 jour- nalists, IPM 2 wasn’t only a working mee- ting, but rather a global signal that Expo 2027 is entering its key phase. This mee- ting brought to Belgrade representatives of the world’s leading economies – from the United States of America and China to Germany, France, Italy and Spain, to- gether with delegations from Europe, Asia, Africa and Latin America, as well as representatives of the United Nations and international organisations. The great interest of countries in Ex- po 2027 is also confirmed by the fact that 137 countries have so far confirmed the- ir participation, which has already sur- passed Astana’s 2017 record (117 parti- cipants). Belgrade has thus positioned itself as one of the most relevant glo- bal events in the coming years, with the dynamics of applications placing it among the fastest filled exhibitions in the history of Expo.
EXPO 2027 BEOGRAD UGOSTIO 480 DELEGATA IZ 141 ZEMLJE / BELGRADE HOSTS 480 DELEGATES FROM 141 COUNTRIES „Jedan od najbolje organizovanih sastanaka u poslednjoj deceniji“ – ocena je koju su delegati i međunarodni mediji najčešće ponavljali nakon trodnevnog susreta u Beogradu / "One of the best organised meetings of the last decade” – that was the most commonly repeated assessment among delegates and international media representatives following the three-day meeting in Belgrade

– I ja mislim.
LISA KUDROW, ACTRESS We’re all unconsciously nostalgic for connection Despite technology, young people still watch Friends because they long for those kinds of relationships, says Lisa Kudrow, who’s returning to the role of Valerie Cherish for the third and final season of sitcom The Comeback
O ver the course of the more than a decade since season two of The Comeback conclud- ed in December 2014, co-creators Lisa Kudrow and Michael Patrick King have been getting to- gether occasionally to try to come up with ways to revive Valerie Cherish. HBO executives left the door open for a third season, and pop cul- ture never gave up on Valerie. Since its debut in 2005, this sitcom has be- come beloved for its sharp satire and critique of Hollywood, as well as its commentary on the ever-changing nature of fame. Lisa Kudrow beauti- fully embodied a washed-up TV ac- tress swimming against the tide in
an attempt to reclaim the semblance of her former fame amid a sea of younger and more beautiful peers… The first season earned her an Em- my nomination, so it was surprising that it wasn’t immediately renewed for a second season. It came eventual- ly, but now a long time has passed be- fore season three, which is currently airing on the HBO Max platform. We therefore begin our interview by ask- ing Lisa why it felt like the right mo- ment to return to the series… “It felt like the right time because we had the right idea. Michael Patrick King and I would occasionally go out for lunch over the years and we would always talk about it – hey, what would Valerie be doing now? But there was

never quite the right idea. This time he said: “Right, she’s being offered the lead in a multi-camera sitcom, which is her dream, but the script is written by artificial intelligence.” I said, well, yes, of course”! How was it to become Valerie again? Was it easy to step back into that character? “I mean, it was. The good thing is that, since everything happens every ten years, Valerie is ten years older too, and I think everyone is a little different ten years on. We saw that from the first to the sec- ond season – she began to stand up for herself a bit more. She still pan- icked about certain things and felt the need to take action, but she ul- timately remains just as resilient as she has always been. It was really fun, and a little frightening.” Was it a challenge for the show to work as a standalone story for new viewers, while also satisfying long-time fans? “It didn’t feel like a challenge. We have to include something for peo- ple who know every episode by heart. Those people will immediately no- tice if we’ve left something out or ig- nored something that happened earlier. I mean, she’s still herself – she thinks she’s witty and sweet.” How do you see the current state of the industry, and how interesting was it to bring those elements into the script?
There will always be a desire for stories told by people… “I think so too. I mean, why is Friends still something young people want to watch? It’s like unconscious nostalgia for connection.” Finally, what would you like Valerie Cherish’s legacy to be? “Perhaps that she is resilient, and that we all have to adapt. Because there are things you really can’t influ- ence very much. But I feel that things eventually fall into place if they’re on the right path. In the end, it happens. And the greatest challenge is simply to survive that period. Just keep breath- ing and find a way.”
“There is always some kind of pan- ic in this business. In the first season, we were dealing with reality television. Everyone thought that was the end of television. I mean, the end of script- ed television. And it wasn’t the end, but it definitely reduced the number of writers needed, so there was less work. Then, ten years later, prestige cable came along, with half-hour dramedies that were sharp, realistic, and had only eight, ten, or thirteen episodes at most. Again, you don’t need fifteen writers in the writers’ room. So, the number is halved. Now, ten years on, it’s been halved again. Also, studios and television networks are now owned by larger companies that de- mand tighter budgets. So, the panic is always there, although I’m not actually worried about artificial intelligence.”
She knows the public will always remember her as Phoebe Buffay from Friends, but Cherish occupies a special place for her
