a global event celebrating the culture of independent record shops and the return of vinyl as a favourite format among new generations. Special limited-edition vinyl releases are issued on this day, while many cities organise DJ sets, concerts and meet- ings with musicians. Record Store Day thus becomes more than a record sale – it is the gathering of a community that shares a love of music and its physical, collecti- ble format. Belgrade has been on the map of this global event for years, with cele- brations organised in Čumićevo Sokače and on Terazije Square. Visitors can ex- pect DJ sets, exclusive releases and an at- mosphere reminiscent of the golden age of record shops.
T here are instruments that we don’t often hear live and that seem almost unreal when we do. The harp is one such instrument. With its crystal, almost ethereal sound, it has for centuries been con- sidered one of the most mystical instruments, and rare opportunities to hear it live make every concert a special experience. Such an evening awaits the audience on 17 th April in the Great Hall of Dom Omladine Belgrade, where Belgrade harpist and singer-songwriter Sofija Sibinović – The Harp Lady – will perform. The concert also marks the premiere of her first original single and video Zagrljaj (Hug), an intimate and meditative composition that brings the warmth and emotional power of the harp to the fore. Sibinović belongs to a new generation of musicians who are pushing the boundaries of the instrument. After studying in Boston, where she per- formed at the renowned Boston Symphony Hall with the Boston Phil- harmonic, she has developed a unique style that combines harp, voice and free improvisation. Upravo takvo veče očekuje publiku 17. aprila u Velikoj sali Doma omladine Beograda, gde će nastupiti be- ogradska harfistkinja i kantautorka Sofija Sibinović – „Harp Lady“.
