The entire route can be covered in about two and a half hours of easy walking, but it is more realistic to plan a longer walk with breaks. Hanover is a phenomenal choice if you’re planning a spring city break. The temperatures in April are pleasant for walking, while the parks are in top form and the season of trade fairs and events is just gaining momentum. The greatest advantage of this city is the so- called Red Thread – an urban walking trail that’s marked clearly with a red line on the pavement for a distance of 4.2 kilometres. It starts at the Tourist Information Centre and runs through 36 key points. The route is circular and can be followed without a map, while it also includes numbers that correspond to explanations in the guide (also available in English). Ako planirate prolećni „city break“, Hanover je fenomenalan izbor. U aprilu su temperature prijatne za šetnju, parkovi su u punoj formi, a sezona sajmova i događaja tek uzima zamah. Najveća prednost grada je „red thread“ – jasno obeležena crvena linija na trotoaru duga oko 4,2 kilometra. Počinje kod Turističkog info-centra, a vodi kroz 36 ključnih tačaka. Ruta je kružna, prati se bez mape, a uz nju postoje i brojevi koji odgovaraju objašnjenjima
u vodiču (dostupan i na engleskom). Šta ćete konkretno videti na tom putu? „Marktkirche“ i staru gradsku većnicu u istorijskom jezgru, operu, jezero Maš, kao i vrtove Herenhausen – jednog od najvažnijih baroknih parkova u Evropi. Cela ruta se prelazi za oko dva i po sata laganog hoda, ali realno je planirati više uz pauze. Ako želite sadržajan obilazak bez previše planiranja Hanover je u aprilu prilično sigurna opcija.
