The blue light visible to human eye is produced by high frequencies (from 380nm to 450 nm) that are the most dangerous (HEV: highest energy visible). The Blue Block lens protects from a maximum of 50% of these frequencies (up to 420nm), if it blocked them totally it would not allow the vision of the blue color. Blue is a primary color and this would alter the color perception.
Blue light rays have a very high frequency, much greater than the solar UV rays. The blue light damages the back of the eye as much as the UV rays damage the front; for this reason it’s imperative to shield the eyes from this kind of rays. UV Filter
420 nm Blue Block Filter
