When 3,500 global food retailers and supply chain leaders were asked to identify the three most difficult cat- egories for waste, 50 percent pointed to meat, 45 percent cited produce, and 28% mentioned baked goods. Over half (51 percent) said that inventory management and overstocking contribute significantly to food waste within their operations. The Making the Invisible Visible: Unlocking the Hid- den Value of Food Waste to Drive Growth and Profitability report also includes independent modeling warning that the economic cost of food waste across the global supply chain is forecast to reach $540 billion by 2026, up from $526 billion last year. Hamillroad, XSYS Partnership Expands Global Access To Bellissima Hamillroad Software has partnered with XSYS to make Bellissima screening technology more accessible to flexo printers around the world by combining Bellissima with XSYS’ flexographic plates and hardware. Through this collaboration, Hamillroad and XSYS will deliver ongoing support for Bellissima with the nyloflex ITP60 and expand compatibility across additional XSYS plates, Thermoflex imagers, and CatenaE processing systems. ValorFlex Packaging To Establish Facility In Bowling Green ValorFlex Packaging, Dickson, Tennessee, a new wholly owned subsidiary of ValorFlex Holdings, will establish an advanced manufacturing facility in Bowling Green, Ken- tucky, with a $23.4 million investment. ValorFlex Packaging of Kentucky Inc. is a veter- an-owned, flexible packaging provider that specializes in custom pouching, lamination, and flexographic printing. The company serves clients in the food and beverage, pet food, health and beauty, and specialty product sectors. The new facility will serve as a hub for packaging inno- vation while expanding ValorFlex’s manufacturing capabil- ities. The facility will house a flexographic printing press along with laminating and slitting equipment, pouch-mak- ing machines, and support equipment to increase efficien- cy in flexible packaging production.
