WASTE DIVERSION 2022 Facilities Management Highlights Efforts to recycle in county-owned facilities diverted 342 tons of waste from landfills and reduced 1,080 metric tons of carbon dioxide – the same as powering 210 homes for one year. The county has doubled its recycling since tracking started in 2019. Note that these recycling metrics are collected from Facilities Management, the Kane Community Living Centers, Parks, the Medical Examiner’s office, and the Family Law building.
