LESTRADE There wasn’t a case.
Sherlock is back at the body, examining again. But this reply brings him up short. He looks at Lestrade. Stares at him. SHERLOCK ... say that again. LESTRADE There wasn’t a case. There was never any suitcase here. Sherlock straightening up. Thinking, the wheels spinning. What? What?? He shoves past Lestrade, strides out on to the landing. CUT TO:

Sherlock bellows round the house. SHERLOCK
Suitcase! Did anyone find a suitcase - was there a suitcase in this house. Cutting round various officers round the house, looking blankly back at him. Lestrade is emerging from the room behind him. LESTRADE Sherlock, there was no case. On Sherlock - now in a ferment of thought. SHERLOCK But they take the poison
themselves. They chew and swallow the pills themselves, there are clear signs - even you lot couldn’t miss them. LESTRADE Right, yes, thanks - and? SHERLOCK ... it’s murder. All of them. I don’t know how, but they’re not suicides, they’re killings - serial killings. We’ve got a serial killer. Love those, there’s always something to look forward to. LESTRADE Why? Why are you saying that?
