Self-Draining Filter

All Clean Air ZeroMist & ZeroSmoke collectors utilize a unique technology that is designed to increase filter life and decrease maintenance costs. By using Fiber Bed technology, Stages 1 & 2 collect the oil and coalesce it into lager oil droplets until they are heavy enough to fall off the filter’s media fibers. This allows you reuse the captured coolant and see a longer filter life versus technology designed to saturate and collect oils. An optional pre-filter can be added to the unit for applications where lager particulate is present. This pre-filter captures particles before it reaches Stage 1, where they could potentially embed and ruin the deep fiber bed of the filters.

How It Works

1. Centrifugal Fan: Packaged units include centrifugal backward inclined blowers and energy efficient VFD duty rated motors. 2. Coalescing Filters: Application specific Stage 1 & 2 filters are the heart of these systems. The filters are self draining and allow for maximum collector efficiency and minimal maintenance with a filter life of 1 5 years depending on application. Combined filters are 99.97% efficient prior to final HEPA stage. 3. HEPA Grade Final: The final filter stage is the HEPA grade filter, rated for 99.997% efficiency at 0.3 microns. The result is an air emission cleaner than the air you currently breathe. 4. Inlet Plenum: A sloped inlet plenum with 1” NPT allows for a change in direction of the inlet air and a reduction in velocity. 5. Pump System: An automatic pump package allows discharge of the collected fluids back into the machining center or a lager coolant filtration system. Additional Options • Pre-Filter Kit for collection of lager particles. • Spray System for dryer applications and improved primary filtration in Stage 1.

Enhanced Performance for Heavy Smoke Applications True to its name, the Clean Air HighSmoke™ 2400 was designed specifically for oil and steam rich environments, some of the most challenging applications in filtration. These units feature a larger coalescing fiber bed filter system with a lower permeability rating. This deep fiber bed media is suitable for filtration of higher concentrations of sub-micron particulate.

The unit is rated for 2,400 CFM at maximum saturated conditions. A 10HP energy efficient motor is paired with a narrow-width blower configuration for roughly 2.5” of external static pressure. The unit is outfitted with a sound-attenuated fan plenum to reduce sound levels and inlet connections can be supplied for either side of the unit. An optional VFD package can be used for improved energy efficiency. The HighSmoke 2400 is built in a modular design and can be supplied with a common inlet and outlet plenum or as a lager centralized system with remote external fan packages.
