THE VILLA KATHRINE is a Mediterranean castle overlooking the Mississippi, com- plete with an interior courtyard and reflecting pool. Inspired by the global travels of the home’s original owner, the Villa was built in 1900 at a cost of $7,000. Today, the property serves as Quincy’s Tourist Info Center and is open for year-round tours, with SeeQuincy offices on the upper level. A new walking path affords sweeping river views.
