Saturate in Summer

Salute! Downtown Quincy is home to a culinary smorgasbord of dining options. From American steakhouses & tangy barbeque joints, Korean fusion and farm-sourced fare, to bars with burgers & cheese- focused beer pubs. Tiramisu Ristorante Italiano, a beloved favorite of locals and visitors alike, has been a downtown cornerstone for over two decades. Open for lunch and dinner, with an extensive wine list to accompany. Try an individual Pizza Margherita for lunch or Ravioli Salsa Rosa with the famous house “pink” sauce for dinner. Owners, Ilija & Suzana Cucuk, above left, invite you to explore a little piece of Italy right in the center of the Midwest. Tiramisu is a participating venue of Summer Flavor Tours (p. 4), offering the dessert course of dreamy housemade tiramisu.

Slip on your favorite sunglasses and grab a friend or glide solo-- just remember to bring your appetite. The beckoning flavors of summer converge each June to August in downtown Quincy. Think: carefree Saturdays, warm breezes, brunch, cool cocktails and sweet endings, all created for you. Summer Flavor Tours stroll through historic streets hugging Washington Park, guided by friendly food hosts. Chefs share signature food & drink menus, representing six locally owned venues from an artisan coffee roaster to a swanky retro lounge. You’ll see incredible architecture along the way and meander through the Farmers Market and a local boutique shop. Flavor Tours conclude at the city’s only craft brewery, Quincy Brewing Company, where the owners’ passion for craft beer and historic downtown is evident the minute you walk in the door. QBCo offers exceptional ales, lagers and seltzers in an inviting, renovated space. Relax with one of 18 beers on tap in The Tasting Room or al fresco in The Garden. QBCo hosts Makers Markets, food truck events, trivia, bingo and other community festivities.
