Suggested Learning Projects:
Î Observational Coaching: Similar to what you’re doing with the employee, share with them that just like you will be observing them, you’re going to pair them up with someone who consistently delivers with follow through and have them observe that employee for a week. At the end of the week, have the employee summarize two things they learned from observation that they will use in the future, and one area they didn’t realize they did until they observed this employee.
Supplemental Coaching Strategies:
Î Non-Verbal Coaching: Leave them a hand-written note on their desk when you observe improvement in their accountability. This will be an easy task when you observe them throughout the week. Make sure your note is specific and descriptive.
