Suggested Strategy: Prior to or during a change in technology or innovation that will impact the team, use Whiteboard Coaching paired with success discussions to help the group realize their current state as well as their potential and make the change feel more tangible. Use this strategy in a group setting.

Suggested Questions:

Î Third-Party Question: If we were to ask other teams that we work with how they would describe our ability to adapt to changes in innovation and technology and how it might impact their ability to work with us, what do you think they would specifically say and why? Î Success Imperative: In what ways will we improve as a team to better adapt to changes in technology and innovation to successfully maximize our potential and ability to keep up with the rest of the company?

Suggested Activities:

Î Role Play / Practice: Have the group come up with situations in the past where changes in technology or innovation for their department have occurred and think about how they reacted to those changes. Now have them practice with their peer to play out how they think they ideally should have addressed those changes. Î Group Discussion: Have the team share the strategies that they used in their practice discussions with their peers and how they felt each strategy brought success to the situation. Narrow down the list t o the four or five most successful strategies and have the group practice them outside of your coaching session.
