Î Peer-to-Peer Coaching: Assign your coaching target to meet with a new peer each week to discuss their onboarding process. How can the individual compare their new strategy with that of their peers? What takeaways from their conversations can they put into place in their own strategies? Discuss their findings at your next coaching session. Î Observational Coaching: Have the person you are coaching observe their peers as they go through their onboarding processes. What differs from person to person? How closely do their peers follow the expectations set by the company for onboarding new clients?
Supplemental Coaching Strategies:
Î 30-Second Coaching: As your coaching target implements a new strategy for onboarding new clients, verbally recognize their efforts to take action that they may not have previously taken in their onboarding process. Be specific in sharing the actions taken by the individual to implement the company’s strategy for onboarding and let them know why their actions are appreciated by you and beneficial for the individual and for the team.
