Effective Delivery of Concerns to Others
Suggested Strategy: Using a Third-Party Question, set the individual’s sights on the effect that their actions might have on others. Utilize Whiteboard Coaching to help them build a strategy for a more effective approach to expressing their concerns to others in the future.
Suggested Questions:
Î Third-Party Question: If we were to ask someone from another discipline that you work with how they would describe your delivery of your concerns or frustrations to others, what do you think they might say and why? Î Success Imperative: What actions do you think you must take to successfully create an efficient strategy for expressing your concerns and frustrations to others?
Suggested Activities:
Î Whiteboard Coaching: On the left side of a whiteboard, write down how the individual thinks someone outside of the team would describe their expression of their concerns to others. On the right side of the board, ask them to define what the ideal description of what an effective delivery of concerns might look like to others. Then, erase the left side of the board and work with together to create a strategy for them to take in their future interactions with others as they express their concerns and frustrations in a way that others will find effective.
