Î Tangible Successes: Ask the team members to come back with three instances where the team executed on the definition from the above activities. Why were these moments successful? Î Peer-to-Peer Coaching: Have team members practice with another team member that also needs to work on the skills they are working to improve upon. Peer work allows comradery, as well as skill building techniques that may not come to mind if the individual is working alone.
Supplemental Coaching Strategies:
Î 30-Second Coaching: Let team members know when they are making positive strides toward the goal of complete success. Take 30 seconds to tell them specifically what they’ve done well and how their actions are appreciated by you and the team. Î Non-Verbal Coaching: Write team members a note and leave it on their desk when you notice them exhibiting the behaviors and skills that were brainstormed in the activities section. Be specific in describing what they did, when, and why it was appreciated.
